This piece was partially inspired by my time as a grocery store dairy stocker. I personally find the bright, cluttered environment of a grocery store produce section both overstimulating and visually fascinating. I wanted to capture the hyper-detail of a produce section minus the people, but plus something large, foreign, and strange. I eventually decided on giant snails, which I left textureless to contrast the intricate background.
